Gates of Andaron is a free fantasy MMORPG from GameForge. It is said to be similar to World of Warcraft, but players will soon discover that Gates of Andoron, can stand on its own with its splendid graphics and great features.
Gates of Andaron happens in the land of Iberia where two factions are at constant war. These two factions are the Valorians (who value agricultural and military practices) and the Derion (who focus on magic and science). After choosing a faction, player choose a race and a class. This MMORPG has 3 races sharing the same four classes. The races are Fairy, Human and Feline.
Fairies are known for their wisdom and intelligence. They have formed a special bond of friendship with the Felines and they have been somewhat allies ever since. They are creatures of great mental strength and magic. Because of this, they are the race that can associate with spirits like none of the other races.
Humans are very mobile and ambitious. They are known to have short life spans but they are driven to success and possess an aptitude for handling tools. Their great imagination and technical developments allowed them to rise above the label of “weak people.”
Felines are strong and persistent. They are very close to nature and consider themselves protectors of land and wind. They are disciplined in that they are in constant training in terms of their fighting and mental skills. They are also experts at close range combats because of their slim and study physique.
The 3 races have the same 6 classes: Archers, Magicians, Nightwalkers, Priest, Evocators and Warriors.
The Archers’ power and precision come from the Goddess Lapiris’ smile. They are expert users of the bow and arrow making them deadly opponents. They are cool and calm under pressure and know enough evasive techniques to effectively avoid attacks. They prefer the use of light and hard leather armors allowing them to move with ease and can also handle the cross bow and daggers.
The Magicians are the wizards that have mastered the elements. Once instructed by the God of Thunder, Pauldron, they are able to transform Mana into powerful magic. As they have mastered the elements, they have the ability to control them and use them effectively against enemies – whether singly or at a larger scale. They are able to use staves, magic shields and wands, and prefer fabric robes over heavy armors.
Nightwalkers are always alert, perceptive and dangerous. They lurk in the darkness, making their attacks a surprise to their opponents. They are also quick and nimble at their feet, and their attacks are always well calculated making their victims wonder what it was that hit them. Their practices are taken from the patron saint Pendatron. They use chakrams, daggers, one-handed swords, bows and crossbows, and for armors, prefer the hard leather kind.
The priests admire the water goddess Rekamies which is why they have learned to imbibe his characteristic of being noble and graceful, and serve to protect their protégés. Rekamies has gifted them the ability to protect their allies and grant them new lives. Priests also have an energy hidden deep within themselves that naturally protect them from enemies, even inflicting damage to their opponents. They use fabric clothing, staves, wands and magic shields.
Evocators are very mysterious and are under the protection of Endendros, the earth god. They are able to open portals leading to other dimensions as well as summon powerful creatures to their aid. Their mental strength allow them to easily control creatures. They arm themselves with canes, magic wands and magic shields, and wear hard leather armors.
Warriors get their strength from the fire god, Rumapark. They have very strong close-combat attacks as well has high defense against their enemies. They use a variety of weapons such as one- and two-handed swords, axes, cross bows, bows and shields. They use chain armors and plates.
This online MMORPG is packed with features that make the game a riveting one. There are a lot of quests, fighting mobs and crafting. There is plenty of room for customization, not only of characters, but also of gears and weapons. It also has a co-op mode allowing two players to team up, gaining boosts for experience and energy.
